In case anyone was wondering.


Went OK. I guess it is completely typical of me to get all panicky but everything comes together pretty well. I even got 5 hours of sleep the night before!

The cats seem to be settling in with remarkably little fuss. Perhaps like me, their sense of home has a lot to do with having my stuff around :)

I did have a couple of hours of panic when they both disappeared completely -- turns out there is not only room for them to get under the kitchen cabinets, but some kind of crawl space behind the cabinets that they can get up into. The funny part was that Lena, being a rather substantial kitty, had trouble getting out again. I had to coax her, and try not to laugh as she flattened down on her belly and kind of clawed her way forward until I could reach her.

So here I am, with a day of unpacking ahead of me, unless I decide to go furniture shopping instead...

You all should stop by sometime soon and see the place :)
