earthquake, whee!

Actually a rather big one, although it didn't feel huge from here.
First there was one jolt that I heard more than felt, the whole building kind of creaked -- I wondered if it was an earthquake but wasn't sure, and was noting the cats' reactions (looking around like "who did that?") . Then the rest of it arrived, a kind of rolling bouncing jolting for a couple of seconds, with more creaking. Very distinct but not quite enough to be scary.
p.s. From the shake map, it looks like it was felt more south of the epicenter (near San Jose) than north.
