inability to sleep in
Apr. 3rd, 2004 08:27 amSeems to be going around, ref. eac and angel_boi.
As is getting to be normal, I popped awake before 6AM and couldn't drift off again. I suspect part of it is that there's so much more light here than in my old bedroom. Plus just being keyed up.
Since, as I've been incessantly and tediously complaining, I can't make too much headway on unpacking until I get more sorted out on the furniture / storage front, and I didn't think it would be very polite to start drilling holes in the wall so early, I spent an hour or so:
- attempting to debug the problem with BreakingStory, and determining (sadly) that it is not something simple like "Kevin disabled the database, I just need to ask him politely to turn it back on".
- therefore temporarily replaced the top level page with lame "under construction" page with link to project info, which is at least better than a JSP error, until I have time / energy to debug in earnest,
- then did a minimal update on my resume, mainly just changing address and removing link to BreakingStory (later will put in link to paper instead), and a couple other minor edits -- really need to beef up the whole Sun section, I think, but that will take more inspiration
Now it seems late enough (8:15 AM! woohoo!) to start moving things around in preparation for today's delivery of wardrobes, take out trash (mass quantities, let me take a moment to be thankful for living in a complex with a big dumpster, unlike in SF where you pay for trash collection by the tablespoon), and then head off to El Cerrito in my quest for more folding tables...
Charge! (Visa, that is :)
