lena update
May. 1st, 2008 04:23 pmWe're home from the MRI, and Lena is snoozing on a pillow.
The word is: Her brain is fine, her ears are fine. There is an abnormality in her spine which the doctor characterized as an "infarction", which was probably caused by the high blood pressure. Its placement is consistent with her symptoms. There is no reason to think this is progressive, so as long as her blood pressure is kept under control, she should get no worse. She may or may not get any better.
All in all, this is about as good as I could possibly have hoped. It certainly could have been much much MUCH worse. And I'm glad I got the test done, because it does feel much better knowing.
Thanks for all the good wishes.
