inertia is winning
Apr. 22nd, 2004 04:37 pmSomehow haven't managed to do much today. Nevertheless, excrutiating details of all the not-muchness:
Lots of web-surfing, mostly metafilter and related links.
Walked to Walgreen's and bought a toothbrush -- hey, at least I got out of the house.
Tidied up some books into more like the usual mildly alphabetical order.
Got packages in the mail: impulse buy DVDs from Amazon, wicker boxes that are smaller than I pictured, a storage thingy for wrapping paper that I don't have the energy to really look at and figure out if it will work.
Finally got the new statement for my renter's insurance and find that it has gone up by 8 cents. This is strangely amusing.
Feeling lonely, I guess. Spent some time browsing the personals on craigslist, not with any great optimism. I need something to get me out of the house, gosh, a job would be good.
Went back to the Charity Focus web site and registered, but they don't have any open projects right now.
I think I should go for another walk. Now. Put down the mouse and back away slowly...
Volunteering / Employment
Date: 2004-04-23 07:07 am (UTC)Now that you're in the east bay again you might think about Cal Shakes for either minimal employment or volunteer work. You might enjoy it and it would be a great way to meet people and get to see great theatre at the same time.
Here's the link: http://www.calshakes.org
