good news / bad news

jaeclecticBoth the good and the bad news are that I spent the day shopping: got good stuff, spent money when I have no income. C'est la vie capitaliste.
Acquisitions include: Two fans (I may need more than two, but it's a start). New cat box (kind with lid but in extra-huge size) plus special under-cat-box litter holding rug, hopefully in combination these will somewhat check the vast tide of kitty litter which has been decorating the floor. Cookie sheets and a rolling pin, because for some weird reason I think I want to bake cookies for the indoor picnic / dinner party thing on Saturday. Rug pads for the "living room" and "dining room" rugs. One of those paper globe hanging lamps. Miscellany.
And I don't think I mentioned before, I did order a hammock stand online -- I saw one that was the right size ("small" = 12 ft rather than 15 ft) and so cheap that I couldn't pass it up. Ironically, it comes with a hammock that I don't need since I've already got one, silly as that seems (and indeed is). Know anyone who has a backyard with trees?
