May. 20th, 2004 01:51 pmAn extremely brief travelogue of Hawai'i:
Lava. Molten lava, even.
Water. Blue ocean water full of wildly colored fishes, tortoises, spinner dolphins. Also swimming in fresh water pools under a waterfall (full of rocks, ouch.)
Food. Lots. Good. A gratuitous example: ahi poke, marinated raw tuna, by the half-pound.
Mild continuous sleep deprivation, but having too much fun to care.
And oh, a 6-inch slash on the leg is a great conversation starter. Even if you get it while gracelessly hoisting yourself onto a kayak, as opposed to something more dramatic and elegant.
More later. Pictures to follow eventually.
