Got an email response from one of the BayCHI jobs that I applied for this week, for UI design and coding. The job description was not very detailed, pro = located in Berkeley, con = contract not permanent (although it explicitly stated there could be on-going work).

The email was timestamped 1:30 AM, which led me to think that calling early in the AM was a bad idea, and I am helping Nan with their move this afternoon (cat herding, not heavy lifting, I hasten to add), so I planned to call the guy at 11 AM exactly. But chickened out and instead sent an email saying I would call tomorrow, having looked again at the job description and company web site and thought "gosh, I better have something good to say about SSL and SAN and..." Even though I think the job looks less than ideal, probably a long shot, and there are lots of other things I've applied for that I feel more enthusiastic about... nevertheless I have a knot in my stomach thinking about the pending conversation.

*sigh*

Also, BTW, may get a call sometime from Val's boss about a QA position at Jeeves. Again, not the likeliest thing to really fit, but not out of the question. I just have to get in that mode of appreciating all interviews as practice if nothing else.

*fingers crossed*

Also, lunch on Thursday or Friday of next week?

Thursday good. (Friday no for lunch, although strangely enough I will be in Santa Clara that afternoon -- what time do you get home?)

Also, just got home and found another message about another job, maybe in SF, hard to tell. I am sorta kinda starting to feel like a hot property :]
