this too shall pass?
Jan. 25th, 2009 09:31 pmI'm still kind of freaked out about the bruise/lump on the ball of my foot. It is truly disconcerting to have part of my body just spontaneously become broken with no cause.
But it's probably nothing, and since coincidentally I already have a doctor's appointment for Tuesday, I guess I'll ask about it then. Assuming it hasn't disappeared as quickly and mysteriously as it appeared.
I didn't do much of anything today. I managed grocery shopping, and minimal food prep for the week. That's it.
I read a bit of Dreamers of the Day (which I convinced my book club to read, tip of the hat to podle for the loan) and I watched all but the last episode of BSG s4.
The cold/sinus/whatever hasn't gotten any worse. Presumably zinc + vitamin C + extra rest are helping.
Now, I really need to put myself to bed early, to give myself another reasonable dose of rest. But I feel anxious about work tomorrow, and part of me doesn't want to go to bed because I don't want to allow the weekend to be over.
*sigh*
For the record, leaving aside physical complaints, the weekend wasn't all bad. I had a lovely time at vintagoth's birthday dinner and my short stop at Forbidden Island -- so nice seeing various folks that I don't seen nearly often enough, and getting lots of hugs -- not to mention finally meeting Young Master Xander, who is the very soul of cuteness.
