fuss and bother

I keep going back to the evite and worrying about people who haven't read it yet. Not so much those who have read it and not replied (with one exception which most of my regular readers can probably figure out).

I am finding myself thinking that I picked a bad weekend. Or screwed things up by not sending the invitation earlier. Or whatever.

Even though rationally, I know that no matter what weekend I picked, some people would be out of town or otherwise engaged. And sending the invitation earlier wouldn't have changed that dramatically. And so on.

And furthermore, I have a quorum for some kind of party even if only the handful who have bothered to RSVP show up. So why worry?

But you know. Worrying is what I do.
