Disclaimer: I know that in the grand scheme of things, my troubles are small potatoes.
But if I don't ask for shamelessly plead for strokes positive reinforcement when I feel the need for it, how will you know?

I love our talks, infrequent though they may be. Whenever I read a book in which there is a delightfully intelligent and thoughtful female character with wit and backbone I think of you.

Dearest lady,
The first thing you should know about yourself is that you need no dislcaimer. There is nothing small potatoes about your troubles/emotions, etc. It is all significant, just as you are significant.

You are kind and loving and a joy to be around. I never fail to feel special when we get to hang out, however infrequent.

I secretly feel like you're too smart to be my friend, but glad that you are, all the same. Sending you lots of mental hugs.

p.s. Yesterday I met a very charming young man named Orion, and it reminded me of your story about how you loved that name because you has known an Orion who was particularly nice. More evidence! Orions are wonderful :)
