On Christmas Eve, I was shopping at the Telegraph Street Fair in Berkeley, and was approached by a pleasant polite young man hawking CDs. He had some line about supporting local musicians, and I was feeling cheerful and relatively flush, so I gave him $10 and took the CD home -- and then didn't get around to listening to it.
At some point, I looked at it and noticed that although it was packaged with a card that said BassNectar, the CD itself looked like a blank, and I kind of wondered if I'd been ripped off (not that I was overly worried).
At my book club meeting on Wednesday, one of my friends noticed it and commented that they knew some people who were really into BassNectar -- apparently techno of some flavor.
So I decided to finally try playing the CD, just to see what (if anything) it is. It turns out to be a mix of reggae standards.
*giggle*
All in all, I find it entertaining.
