update for the sake of updating
Aug. 30th, 2004 08:16 pmThe interview today went OK, the presentation wasn't my smoothest but I got through it. They then did something I hadn't run across before: a design exercise, but instead of just sitting one-on-one and throwing out ideas, they left me alone for half an hour with the white board, then the whole group came back to see what I'd come up with.
But hey, it was all over in 3 hours and 15 minutes, so compared to last week's mega-marathon, this was a breeze. And afterward I had lunch with Maggie L. and some of her co-workers (a different group than I interviewed with). And then I rode BART home, so much nicer than battling the traffic. Now that I think about it, driving home is probably a major factor in my usual post-interview headache.
I do still feel a little whiney about having had to give up my low-key weekend to prepare. I'd just like a nice little interval of low stress, please. (Just a nice little interval, must be careful what one asks for.)
Oh, and I still haven't heard back re: last week's interview. I pinged the headhunter today, who says that they still haven't made up their mind, and I quote: "this is a really good sign".
Ha. I need some of what she's on...
