life is good...
Sep. 6th, 2004 11:49 am...I just wish my face didn't hurt.
More of my typical minor sinus foo: low-grade fever, achey face. I thought this little bout was over, but maybe I just felt better the past couple of days because I wasn't trying to do much. Well, fortunately, I don't really need to do much today, either. Still, very annoying.
Despite this minor aggravation, life is very good.
For anyone who hasn't kept up with all my posts (or doesn't see the locked ones), I've been mulling over two job offers (two! count 'em, two! yee haw!) and have decided to take the one from Peoplesoft. Which means that tomorrow I need to regretfully decline the other, and kick off whatever paperwork shuffle is required, and negotiate my start date, and get serious about finishing up the AP work pronto.
But hey, those are just details. I'm done job-hunting! I can relax!

does that mean you will be working for Larry soon???

Re: does that mean you will be working for Larry soon???
Date: 2004-09-08 11:25 am (UTC)I did think about that aspect, and concluded that it wasn't certain enough or likely to happen fast enough to affect my decision. If I'm wrong, and end up unemployed again in 6 months... well, hopefully it will have been a good 6 months :)
And thanks. I do feel quite pleased with myself, at having successfully navigated this rather torturous process, and at the implicit recognition of my capabilities that a good offer represents. And only a tiny bit nervous about needing to justify their confidence in me, because basically I feel very confident of my ability to achieve in the workplace. Much more confident than in my ability to sell myself, which I've just succeeded in doing!
