What I did last night: lay in a hot tub, watching the stars come out, after a long hike near the ocean (and planning another for the next day).

Would have been even better with company... er, I mean, the right company. But no complaints...

"Our yurt"

Wow indeed. This is the same fabulous yurt that Kris and I stayed out many years back for our post tax season hiatus. Although the winds were fierce in mid-April and we vowed afterwards to always go south for our tax season celebration, the yurt itself and the fabulous outdoor hot tub were fantastic. The cows that visit right outside the yurt windows were memorable too! Enjoy.

The cows must have been on vacation in another field. I did see lots of Tule Elk while hiking, but no large ungulates looked in the yurt windows :)

And for the record, September was a just about perfect time to be there. Clear sunny days (shreds of fog out on Tomales Point, but just enough to be decorative, not enough to make it cold and clammy), the evening cool enough to make a pleasant contrast with the warmth of the hot tub, yet mild enough to comfortably sit outside stargazing in my robe...
