Certainly not! It's quite a singular thing, and something you should check out once. but have realistic expectations of what can do there, and what you'll get out of it.
Yeah, I figure if I am going to check it out, I should do so in the year when some friends who know what they are doing are organizing a camp and actively recruiting me. OTOH, I am scared on a couple of levels. The physical camping in the desert part is intimidating to me (not being a person who deals well with heat and sun). Plus, I have this amorphous, slightly challenging to articulate, set of concerns around my expectations, what I may experience or not experience and how I will feel about it, and what I can bring to the camp so that I am not just a needy newbie who is sucking up attention.
