halloween denial

People I know are making Halloween plans. Have figured out costumes. Are decorating the office.

Finally decided to look for the costume contact lenses I bought last year -- can't find 'em. Nowhere. Presumably I packed them when I moved, carefully and logically, but I have no friggin idea where they are now.

Meanwhile, there was a high probability they would have dried up anyway. But irrationally, it was consoling to think I had one cool element for a costume.

Now I have absolutely no semblance of a vague idea of what to do for a Halloween costume. Or what I'd do if I had one.

Bah humbug?

I don't know either. Party next weekend; the theme is predator or prey. You'd think that would be easy, right?
