So I just tried to put in the contact lenses, and failed miserably. Now have one very sore eye (I didn't try very hard with the other eye, because I remembered that one was harder than the other last year, and if I couldn't manage the easy one...)

I had been telling myself that going with just a bit of zombie makeup would be fine, because the contact lenses are cool. And therefore it didn't really matter what I wore, or whether it fit into the zombie theme, because the contact lenses would redeem the costume, however otherwise lame.

This argument, you perceive, no longer applies.

Given the context of your other post, can I read that as saying it isn't automagically being perfectly fun for you either?

I can't tell to what extent my grumpiness is because I don't feel well, and to what extent it's just random anti-social bah-humbug-ness.

In any case, I haven't given up on going out. Mainly 'cause I want to see Gen, and James of course (whose costume is rumored to be fabulous, and B&W). I am going to surf around looking for pictures of zombies and see if that gives me a better idea of what I can do with what I have on hand...
