6 months, 20 pounds
Nov. 20th, 2004 08:19 amI know it's really dull to talk about one's diet, but this seems noteworthy. Having re-joined Weight Watchers on May 21, doing the online version instead of going to meetings, as of my weigh-in yesterday, I'm down 20 pounds. I know it's arbitrary, but it is nevertheless very satisfying to have that nice rounded number to dwell on.
And it feels pretty good to be walking a little lighter.
For context, this means I'm below the weight I hit during my second year of grad school (the last time I re-started WW) and only 25 pounds heavier than when I left Pennsylvania in mid-2000.
That's still a way to go, and it's not actually rapid progress even by WW standards, but I am completely pleased. I don't think I should be too ambitious going into the holiday season -- maintaining right where I am until after New Year's now would be just fine -- but if I can do this well next year, I could actually be in the range I want to be by, say, next June...
