You mean all these other people are litigation assistants, too?

Actually - I have been pondering lately the resemblance of modern life to, say, a wheat thresher. All these conveniences which were supposed to make everything easier and create giant hunks of leisure time have instead cranked up the pace of existence to a frenzied dance.

There's no way I'd give up my teeth, eyesight and freedom of certain choices - but sometimes I really wish we could live at the same pace as one of the Bronte's.

Sigh ....
