useless airways

Arrgh!

In accordance with my low expectations, my reservations are still not visible on the usairways site.

So I call, and this time I get the following run-around: ( customer support at its finest )

Bottom line: apparently the reservation is fine, but I can't help but be aggravated. No wonder this airline went bankrupt!

p.s., In case you were wondering, I have many frequent flyer miles left over from days of yore, when I lived in Pittsburgh PA, and when PIT was a major hub for US Airways, and when I often travelled to Europe on business... Therefore my need to continue dealing with these people.

feeling of connectedness

On a cheerier note, earlier today I had a really nice visit with Anne, who is going to be cat-sitting for me. She is a friend of K&K's who I first met at Kris' bridal shower, back in... eeep... 1997. Since then, have only run into her occasionally at K&K's parties.

She is just a totally sweet person and really easy to talk to. She was here to meet the cats and get indoctrinated on their requirements, but we ended up having a lovely, rambling conversation about all kinds of things... For instance, despite being in very different financial situations, we were able to talk about SF housing without any hint of envy or bitterness on her part. Plus work, and turning 40, and...

She is working at Black & Blue Tattoo and has just moved into a studio apartment on 17th St., so I have a new neighborhood connection. Yay!

costume ideas

So, with the contact lenses basically shaping the central idea of a person hypnotized, I just want the rest to be enough of a costume that people seeing me from a distance will know I'm in costume.
