Real estate news: I got a counter-offer which seems pretty reasonable. My realtor and I are going back to the place this evening for a third look before deciding whether to accept or counter-counter or run screaming the other way.

Other news: I did go for a hike today, which felt absolutely great. Watch this space for reports of soreness tomorrow :)

the joy of local politics

Only in the Bay Area do you get to worry that if the vote is split between two ultra-progressives, an ordinary business-as-usual Democrat may get elected instead. I sure wish I could find a current poll on the Oakland mayoral race...
