Good news: I had a great day at the San Diego zoo. Bad news: My ankle hurt when I got up this morning, walking around on it all day did not help, and now my back hurts too. ( but never mind, more about the good news )

OK, so I forgot to pack my heating pad, realized I would regret that -- so I walked to Target and bought one (admittedly, the cheaper of the two for sale there).

Sadly, it does not work. At all. The switch gets warmer than the actual pad.

Grr.

I guess if I don't have anything better to do tomorrow night I can go back and return it.

I did have a brief shining moment of optimism yesterday. Really I did. Today: more back pain, and Lena isn't eating.
